When the premier edition of OIL DRUM sunglasses hit the streets, people got out of its way. That kind of thing tends to happen when a perfect storm of science and art makes style so aggressively original that it calls down its own thunder. The idea of outdoing it was the furthest thing from our minds but when the legends of sports, music and life called it their own, we felt obligated. This new edition comes with redesigned stems that carve even more dimension with sculptural grooves and new icons.

Durable yet lightweight O MATTER frame material is shaped with a unique geometry that offers a comfortable fit on medium to large faces. We engineered it with sculpturally integrated hinges that work with dual cam action, and shaped the contours to create 8.75 base lens curvature. Thats how it offers such a wide peripheral view, and thanks to HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS (HDO) and XYZ OPTICS, you get razor-sharp clarity at every angle of vision. PLUTONITE lens material helps protect that vision with 100% UV filtering. All that technology achieves a design that meets ANSI Z87.1 standards for optical performance and impact protection.
